Big week for D-1 commitments from Minnesota Boys High School players

Four Minnesota Boys High School Hockey Players committed to D-1 colleges this week.

Phil Beaulieu (Duluth East) Nebraska Omaha

Tyler Nanne (Edina) Ohilo State University

Jared Bethune (Warroad) University Minnesota Duluth

Kobe Roth (Warroad) University Minnesota Duluth

Nick Swaney Commits to the University of Minnesota Duluth

Nick Swaney who only played 12 games in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League commits to UMD. Nick was up at the top in scoring with 12 goals and 8 assist before injuring his kneecap. Lakeville South player will be a Sophomore this year.

Hermantowns Neal Pionk commits to UMD

Denfenseman Neal Pionk Junior from Hermantown High School commits to UMD. He will join last years teammate Jared Thomas with commitments to UMD.

Edina's Defenseman Parker Reno commits to RPI

Minnetonka's Jack Ramsey commits to Gophers

Minnetonka's Junior Forward Jack Ramsey commits to the Minnesota Gophers. Jack's dad Mike a former NHL player and was on the coaching staff  for many years was also on the 1980 Olympic Gold Medal team and played for the Gophers himself. 

2 players from the USA U-17 team commit to Gophers

Jack Glover and Ryan Collins who play defense for the USA U-17 team in Ann Arbor have committed to the Minnesota Gophers. Both players played on the Minnesota High School Boys Hockey Class AA Championship team last year as sophomores for Benilde-St. Margaret.  ​The earliest they would play for the Gophers would be the 2014-2015 season.
